Occupational Health Advisor
Locations: Home based and covering an eastern region comprising Essex

£3,600 welcome bonus included and will be paid to the successfully appointed candidate (T&C's apply).
The Occupational Health Service at Ramsay Health Care UK is in-house and nurse led, providing a comprehensive service to approximately 5000 employees plus bank staff and accredited healthcare practitioners.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) with extensive experience in occupational health provision in the health care sector. The successful applicant will be suitably qualified, preferably to degree level, and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health).
Managing their own work and diaries, they will undertake a range of duties within their defined geographical region, including:
1. Coordinating Occupational Health Link Nurses activities
2. Working closely with a central On-boarding Team
3. Collaborating with local Human Resource coordinators
The role includes:
1. Pre-placement screening
2. Health surveillance
3. Case management
4. Post exposure management of medical sharps injuries
The successful candidate will contribute to:
1. The development and review of occupational health policies
2. Clinical audit of OH processes
3. Audit of management of health risks
4. Investigation of work-related ill-health on site
5. Supporting the Flu vaccination campaign
The candidate will be home based and will be required to undertake regular travel to Ramsay facilities in Essex and Hertfordshire, as well as attend meetings in our central offices in Bedford and London. A full UK driving license is essential.
An offer of employment will be subject to the satisfactory receipt of an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau.
