Job Summary
This is a Maintenance Technician position working in a 4 on 4 off Days / Nights schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical and mechanical engineering with a proven track record of diagnosing and repairing faults in production machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of production equipment.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and improve efficiency.
* Install and commission new machinery and equipment as required.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
* Balanced skill set in both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.
* Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and nights.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Compensation:
£45k per year, depending on experience.
