Your Role as an Activity Leader: Engage and foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for international students and their Group Leaders Lead walking tours and visits to top attractions with engaging and insightful commentary while ensuring itineraries run smoothly Coordinate activities, ensuring fun and safety while adhering to schedules Ensure smooth operations, including ticket handling and schedule adherence Uphold safeguarding standards and respond effectively to emergencies when required What we are looking for: Confident communicators with excellent organisational skills Approachable and able to engage with large audience of international students Team players with cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using smartphones (WhatsApp and Google Maps) for navigation and coordination Previous experience in leading activities or working with young people is an advantage Essential Requirements: Right to work in the UK Willingness to undergo a Police/Criminal Record Check (e.g., Enhanced DBS Check) Provide 2 referees (at later stage) Availability to work full-time hours Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required Further Information: Running Dates: mid-June to mid-August (dependent on the centre) Centres for summer 2025: London Harrow | Epsom | Kingston | Uxbridge | Hatfield | Windsor | St Edmunds | Tonbridge | Bath | York | Loughborough | Ellesmere | Edinburgh | Stirling Contract Length: Choose between 2 to 8 weeks (dependent on the centre) Working hours: Up to 48 hours per week, across six days (opt-out form required) Accommodation: Full board provided if needed (accommodation and three meals daily) for a small deduction. Non-residential staff cover their transport (to and from the campus) and meals Salary rates: Residential staff ages 18-20 £13.69 per hour Residential staff ages 21 and over £11.21 per hour Non-Residential staff ages 18-20 £12.13 per hour Non-Residential staff ages 21 and over £9.66 per hour Holiday: Salary is inclusive of holiday entitlement; holidays cannot be taken during contracted period Why Join PLUS?
