We’re looking for a Team Manager to join the existing Mortgage Advice Leadership Team within Homes Finance Advice, leading a team of Mortgage Advisers, Mortgage Support Consultants and Direct Lending Consultants who are responsible for initial mortgage queries, applications, and DIPS.
The salary for this role is up to £43,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience, please note this role may close early as applications are reviewed frequently.

The team consists of qualified Mortgage Advisers, Mortgage Support Consultants and Direct Lending Advisers and Mortgage Team Managers. You will be expected to work closely as a team to provide a seamless customer journey.

What Will You Be Doing?
You’ll be working closely within the wider Homes Financing Teams, sharing experience and knowledge, and working together to meet corporate plan targets.
You’ll also be:
1. Ensuring your teams adhere to agreed service levels, the Society’s training and competency scheme, ongoing training and development whilst managing appointment availability and resource
2. Facilitating regular coaching/development and career conversations
3. Driving efficiencies within the team in order to maximise capacity and direct mortgage volumes
4. Ensuring your teams are focusing on not only mortgage advice but protection too, identifying gaps in customer needs and making referrals to both life insurance and household insurance providers – understanding the importance for both the customer and the Society
The department is a busy environment, so being adaptable and agile is something you’ll need to be equipped to be.
What Do We Need From You?
To be successful in role you will ideally have leadership experience and some mortgage knowledge. You will have worked within defined service levels and offered high standards of customer service either personally or via a team. You will enjoy stretching your teams’ performance, seeking incremental gains continually.
You will be enthusiastic with a positive mindset and embrace change/challenge as an opportunity. You can demonstrate flexibility and do what’s right for customers/colleagues alike.
You will be required to have CF1 and CF6 or equivalent (Certificate in Mortgage Advice).
Our mortgage advisers/mortgage advice leaders became subject to the Certification Regime from March 2016 meaning the Society has to approve all individuals who are certified. In addition to this, the Conduct rules were applied to all senior manager and certified roles from March 2016 too.
