Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be adept at both installation and repair tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach, utilising various tools and techniques to ensure efficient plumbing solutions in both residential and commercial settings.
We have a range of sites across Sussex, Surrey, and Kent, which comprise single self-build luxurious homes to sites of up to 10 properties, all with high-end fixings.
As well as this, we also have the opportunity to join our domestic team installing boilers and handling everyday plumbing call-outs.
Duties
* Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks.
* Perform welding as necessary for pipe fittings and repairs.
* Conduct assessments to diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate solutions.
* Carry out heavy lifting as required for the installation of equipment or materials.
* Assemble plumbing components with precision to ensure proper functionality.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, when necessary for integrated projects.
* Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing tasks.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
* Experience in commercial driving is an advantage for transporting materials to job sites.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Previous experience in plumbing or a related field is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.
* A valid driver's licence is required.
