Description ABOUT THE ROLE Northumbria Sport are recruiting a Sport Assistant who will be responsible for daily operation of the building, supervision of the pool environment and perform a variety of customer facing roles within Sport Central. Sport Central is a multi-purpose built sports facility and events arena that is located in the heart of Northumbria University City Campus. The Sport Assistant is responsible for the daily operation of sports facilities responsible for delivering a welcoming, safe and outstanding experience for our customers. The Sport Assistant is a leading customer-facing role and will be required to undertake direct customer-facing services and operational roles as and when required. The Sport assistant will have a good knowledge within the pool environment and hold an RLSS NPLQ qualification or is willing to work towards the qualification. Further information is available in the job description. ABOUT THE TEAM Reporting directly to the Duty Manager the role will join Northumbria Sport, a core department within Campus Services. Northumbria Sport is responsible for delivering an excellent student experience through our range of sport, fitness and well being programmes. The role will be based at Sport Central. Experience within the pool operation and wet environment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good understanding of what represents best practice in health and safety, security and other facility operational areas. Ability to work on own or part of a team.
