Our client is looking for an experienced Revenues Officer.
As a Revenues & Benefit Assistant, you will assist in delivering one or more of the following functions:
1. Valuation, billing, collection, and enforcement of council tax and business rates.
2. Handling customer and stakeholder enquiries, providing advice, information, and assistance in person, by phone, letter, and/or other electronic methods.
3. Controlling and maintaining financial and other systems in accordance with legislation, government performance standards, and Council policies, procedures, and objectives.
4. Possessing the required knowledge and experience of council tax, business rates, and benefit legislation and procedures.
5. Providing a progressive and responsive service to customers.
Contract Details:
1. Remote working after the initial equipment collection from Walsall Council.
2. Initial contract duration of 2 months, with the possibility of extension as we work through a backlog.
3. We are looking for a council tax specialist with expertise in billing and recovery.
