We present, produce, and commission diverse arts and cultural programmes, support talent development, and run community engagement projects. With over 1,000,000 visitors annually, 750+ performances, and three major festivals, we are an ambitious and dynamic organisation shaping the cultural future of Aberdeen.
We are now seeking a dedicated and proactive Operations Team Leader to join our team and play a key role in the smooth running of our venues.
About the Role

3. Create and manage staff rotas to ensure effective venue operations.
4. Oversee security, health & safety compliance, and venue maintenance.
5. Assist with the preparation and set-up of facilities for performances, meetings, and events.

7. Manage contractor relationships and oversee maintenance tasks.
8. Support the Technical and Housekeeping teams as required.
9. Carry out minor repairs and assist with the operation of heating and ventilation systems.
10. Key-holding duties, including opening/closing venues and fire safety responsibilities.
11. Provide excellent customer service and act as an ambassador for Aberdeen Performing Arts.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on leader with a positive, can-do attitude. You will have experience in building or facilities maintenance, contractor management, and team leadership. You should be highly organised, able to prioritise tasks, and have excellent communication and people skills. A clean driving licence is essential, and experience in health & safety, risk assessments, and technical support would be an advantage.
1. Experience in an operations, facilities, or caretaking role.
2. Knowledge of health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and manual handling.
3. Ability to undertake manual tasks, including lifting and setting up equipment.
4. Basic technical knowledge, such as setting up projectors and sound equipment.
5. First aid qualification, IOSH Managing Safely, or other relevant training (desirable).
