We are looking for somebody who is well-organised, can prioritise, and has the ability to work to deadlines. You will be expected to communicate with patients, organise appointments, and liaise with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining a database of outstanding patient procedures and scans according to requests from the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
2. Checking for results on a daily basis and notifying and escalating to the relevant professional accordingly.
3. Assessing the priority of patient queries or tasks from patient databases and passing this information on to the relevant CNS, doctor, or department, or dealing with them yourself if within scope of practice.
4. Maintaining a database of all patients under routine skin cancer follow-up and ensuring their appointments are booked on time, escalating to a CNS or appointment booking coordinator if not.
5. Being aware of which CNS team members are available each day to ensure tasks and information are passed on appropriately and not missed due to staff absence.
6. Maintaining other necessary databases for children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
