Job Title: Security Operations – Servers
Division: Infrastructure - EMEA
Reports To: IT Infrastructure Operations Manager - EMEA
Location: Hybrid
Overview
A strong and consistent personality is required to take responsibility for all elements maintaining minimum security application and patch levels on ~800 servers across the EMEA region. Working remotely, with in-country hands where necessary, the role holder will be required to focus on creating and applying process to update systems that have missed existing automated process, either manually or through automation. This will involve frequent communication with specific teams to ensure timely software and/or agents updates without significant interruption to the running business.
The successful candidate(s) will have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, basic Active Directory, and a common-sense approach to other operating systems (for example Linux, IBM), as well as a logical understanding of spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) and structured data presentation.
Experience in QUALYS and/or PALO ALTO CORTEX would be beneficial.
With full management support, he/she will be responsible for daily reporting of SecOps status as pertains to servers and be prepared to understand and take responsibility with a heavy security focus without bureaucracy or emotion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with local IT teams and international IT management, utilising existing and new service management tools as provided:
Chasing down and remediating unpatched and otherwise insecure servers and other endpoints as required.
Daily and real-time reporting on server SecOps status.
Maintaining installation of appropriate tools and security agents, with help from an existing asset management system.
Proposing efficiency measures as part of the Security Operations team.
Support coordination of asset management, including IT equipment and software licences / subscriptions.
As necessary participate in special projects, assist departmental leadership, and perform other administrative duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Most important is a strong grasp of Microsoft technologies and excellent fluent written/spoken English, as communication takes place within a multi-cultural environment. A second language would be advantageous.
Experience is essential, with a minimum of three years’ exposure to Patching, Security tools and their installation and remediation in a technical support or server administration role that includes data management and presentation. Most important is self-motivation with a proven ability to think and act proactively with strong interpersonal skills.
