Hours 07:15 – 16:00 (there can be some flexibility here if needed)
We are pleased to be supporting our client, a well-established leading manufacturing business in an exciting period of growth in their search for an experienced Customer Service and Logistics Administrator. We are keen to hear from candidates with a strong Customer Service background with experience in order processing, logistics or order tracking and shipments being highly advantageous.
Reporting to the Customer Service and Logistics Manager, you will be integral to the wider team’s success in ensuring the highest levels of customer service is delivered. This is an interesting and varied role, the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing plans and timescales will be key to managing customer orders and the wider logistics function supporting these. In addition, you’ll need to be organised, solutions focused and an excellent communicator!
Outline of Role Responsibilities (please note that a full job description will be shared as part of our screening process upon successful short-listing)
* Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently using company systems
* Answer customer enquiries regarding orders, deliveries and product information via phone and email
* Product sample management – sending out sample requests to new and existing customers, maintaining a record of samples sent and communicating to the customer and account managers on sample status.
* Efficient handling of smaller order requirements (single pallet customers)
* Tracking orders throughout the shipping process, updating customers on delivery status.
* Ensuring accurate booking in of inbound deliveries
* Coordinating with the warehouse and shipping teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
* Monitoring delivery schedules addressing any logistical challenges.
* Maintaining accurate customer data on in-house CRM systems.
* Filing and organising of customer records and shipping documents to include customer load declarations for dispatched loads including relevant pallet information.
Experience/Skills Required
* Excellent customer service and order processing experience
* Working background in logistics, shipping, order tracking – preferred
* Administration or management experience of inventory and stock - advantageous
* Able to maintain and nurture customer, stakeholder and team relationships.
* High level attention to detail and ability to manage processes from start to finish.
* Excellent communication, organisation and multitasking skills
* IT proficient – MS Office
* Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and timescales.
* Team player with great people skills, and a sense of humour!
