Site SupervisorLocation: London, South East About the Job: Our client is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee a major 132kV project in London, including the construction of substations and cable routes from the point of connection. This role will involve managing and supervising construction activities on the project, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct surveys on work sites before, during, and after construction, reporting findings to the Construction Manager. Plan and allocate resources effectively within your field of expertise (Electrical/Civils). Organize and manage staff, ensuring compliance with safety and design requirements. Oversee the safe execution of construction work, managing sub-contractors and ensuring high-quality work. Promote a positive Health & Safety culture, working with the Project Management team to maintain accident-free standards. Prepare and submit job packs, permits, and ensure the correct tools and equipment are provided for the team. Ideal Candidate: Experience managing high-voltage cable or substation projects, particularly underground works. Knowledge of NRSWA, CDM Regulations, and Health & Safety protocols. IOSH Managing Safety, SMSTS, or SSSTS qualification is required. First Aid, manual handling, and CDM awareness certifications are essential. Strong IT skills and effective communication abilities to interact with clients and team members. Ability to motivate teams, solve resource issues, and manage project schedules effectively. Requirements: Proven experience in site management, particularly in high-voltage cable or substation projects. NRSWA certification and a solid understanding of CDM Regulations. IOSH Managing Safety or SMSTS qualification (SSSTS is an advantage). First Aid and manual handling certificates. Strong IT skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to managing projects. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
