Your role as a Principal Process Engineer at Johnson Matthey may involve early-stage proposal design, preparing process design packages, supporting customers in startup and optimization, as well as process improvement and R&D for next-generation technologies. You will work within our passionate team to address some of the world's biggest challenges and turn ideas into pioneering projects.

Your responsibilities:
* Develop new process technologies in collaboration with Engineering and R&D teams.
* Lead major engineering projects, setting scope, schedules, standards, and objectives.
* Interface with key clients to evaluate the impact of Johnson Matthey solutions on their businesses.
* Resolve technical issues within technologies for complex problems.
* Demonstrate innovation and creativity, addressing risks and proposing complex changes to senior management.
* Identify and propose new technologies for competitive advantage.
* Support the department's technical expertise to meet business needs.
Requirements for the role:
* Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent; Chartered status preferred.
* Significant relevant experience at Principal Process Engineer level.
* Proven process engineering design experience with safety and environmental considerations.
* Proficiency in engineering software such as Hysys, ProII, Aspen+.
* Self-motivated, proactive, with high achievement drive and initiative.
* Customer-focused with the ability to respond to client needs while achieving project and corporate goals.
