This post is 22.5 hours per week. The purpose of this role is to establish and implement a community engagement programme, as part of the community services delivery plan, contributing as part of the wider running of the Sexual Health and HIV Service (SHHS) across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (HIOW). The post holder will contribute to the reduction and improvement of health inequalities (including sexual health outcomes) for the residents of HIOW, this role will lead on the development and implementation of robust engagement strategies within communities, ensuring that the insights gained will support the SHHS's commitment to continuously learn from patients and stakeholders. The post holder will help ensure that community and stakeholder feedback informs the development of pathways for access, helping our service to become easier to reach for communities, as well as the development of training packages, campaign and communication programmes, aligning with our purpose to help service users enjoy healthy, safe and worry-free sex. This is a service-wide role, in which the post holder will be expected to work actively in the community spanning HIOW. Main duties of the job The post holder will: Work with the Community Lead, community services and the Trusts community engagement team to develop local strategy with communities and stakeholders, creating opportunities for feedback and engagement. Work with local authority engagement teams, and wider stakeholder involvement, to ensure wider system engagement. Implement a resilient system of continuous evaluation to inform opportunities to reduce health inequalities in targeted communities. Contribute towards overseeing the sexual health and HIV delivery plan, providing direction and leadership. Support the collaborative working within the integrated sexual health and HIV service, working towards our purpose to help individuals to have healthy, safe worry-free sex.
