Job summary We are looking for an experienced assistant programme director to lead on the Mental Health Services transformation projects to join us, the role is to support the oversight of the trust wide delivering value programme and associated transformation PMO. The post holder will manage a portfolio for the Mental Health Services transformation programme across the Trust/Collaborative and with our partner organisations, to ensure delivery of improvements required in a collaborative, efficient, effective, and timely manner with buy in from the various stakeholders. It is expected the post holder will have the experience, skills, and ability to manage and successfully deliver the multiple programmes that sit within this portfolio at any one time. The post holder will understand and contribute towards Trust/Collaborative for their allocated portfolio, whilst improving processes, outcomes, quality and address inequalities for both staff and service users. This is a corporate role, and it is expected that the post holder will work flexibly across the Trust/collaborative and with key partners as required by the portfolio or as directed by the Programme Director/Director of Strategy and Partnerships and participate in on call rotas. Main duties of the job Lead, manage and deliver a portfolio of Trust/collaborative wide Transformation programmes to ensure plans are robust and sufficiently detailed to provide the assurance that delivery will result in service quality improvement and efficiency savings. Work closely with the named Senior Reporting Officer (SRO) & other Transformation Specialists, and the relevant PMOs to ensure all portfolios and programmes of work are co-ordinated, complementary and understand any co-dependencies. Develop and initiate new projects including the support and development of effective project documentation and management for any programme within the portfolio including Project PIDs, Business Cases, Project Plans, Workbooks, risk and issue logs and the formation of Project Steering Boards and teams. Manage, monitor, report and track the progress of portfolios and programmes, ensuring that the intended benefits are achieved with outcomes maximised. To design, undertake and evaluate complex surveys, audits, and service reviews to establish baseline data for current transformation programmes/ projects, or to assess and if required build the case for new ones. Successfully manage expectations on portfolio and programme deliverables, working alongside key stakeholders to understand and interpret potential constraints /risks to programme Delegate portfolio/ programme work effectively and ensure that this is completed as required within the agreed timescales. About us Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. High Cost Area Supplement This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).
