Job summary A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly rural practice team located 12 miles south of Lincoln. You will work within our highly valued and respected multidisciplinary team enabling us to provide and maintain excellent care for our patients. You will be an enthusiastic and motivated ANP. The successful Advanced Nurse Practitioner will work as an autonomous practitioner, diagnosing, managing and prescribing for patients with illness or injury. This may be by face-to-face, telephone, online or video consultation. We offer a competitive salary. We would be keen to support additional skills or areas of interest. In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will be available to undertake a variety of duties, including patient consultations, occasional home visits and dealing with queries, and clinical administration. Main duties of the job Manage undifferentiated undiagnosed condition and identify red flags and underlying serious pathology and take appropriate action. Use complex decision making to inform the diagnosis, investigation, complete management of episodes of care within a broad scope of practice. Complete the relevant training in order to provide multi-professional clinical practice. Communicate effectively with patients and carers, recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcome different levels of understanding, cultural background and preferred ways of communicating. Act as an advocate for patients and colleagues. The post holder will have the appropriate level of child protection and adult safeguarding knowledge, skills and practice required for the post; be aware of and comply with child protection and adult safeguarding policies and procedures.
