About the role: Join BCG and play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development across our care homes. As a Regional Learning and Development Facilitator, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programmes that enhance the skills and knowledge of our colleagues. Your work will directly contribute to the delivery of exceptional care for our residents while supporting the professional growth of our teams. This is a regional role which requires regular travel to our care homes across Scotland. Key responsibilities: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programmes for care home staff, including induction, mandatory training, and ongoing professional development. Provide effective learning and development solutions to build colleague capability, utilising BCG’s e-learning platform. Support, mentor, and coach in-house trainers, such as Safer People Handling Coaches and Falls Teams, while identifying and addressing any training gaps. Build strong relationships with leaders across the organisation to support a learning culture. Produce monthly reports to evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and identify areas for improvement. Act as the subject matter expert in Learning and Development, ensuring training resources are relevant, up to date, and effective. Assist in the design and development of new training programmes using blended learning approaches. Provide advice, mentoring, coaching, and training support to in-house trainers, Home Managers, and Team Leaders. Keep up to date with industry best practices and legislative requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in training delivery. About you: We’re looking for someone with: Proven experience in Learning and Development, ideally within the healthcare or care home sector. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is required. An appropriate Learning and Development qualification, such as EAT Level 3, 4, or 5, Cert Ed, or equivalent. SVQ/Diploma at a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent qualification. An understanding of the UK care sector’s regulatory environment would be advantageous. The ability to facilitate workshops both face-to-face and online. Experience working in a highly compliance-led organisation. Strong skills in training analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation.
