McCarthy Stone is looking for a dynamic Head of Asset Management to lead our dedicated team and drive our asset management strategy across an extensive portfolio of over 500 developments. About the Role As the Head of Asset Management, you will be the organizational lead for implementing best practices in strategic fire, compliance, and asset management. You will oversee the Asset Management Team, ensuring the development and delivery of our asset management strategy. Your role will be crucial in enhancing homeowner satisfaction, supporting commercial transformation, and maintaining the highest standards across our estate. Key Responsibilities Strategy Development: Continuously update and implement McCarthy Stone’s fire, compliance, and asset management strategy, ensuring maximum value for homeowners and the company. Leadership: Lead the Property Business Partners in conducting FRAs, surveys, and resolving complex maintenance issues. Quality Assurance: Oversee the completion of fire remediation works and ensure quality installation in new developments. Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce property-related policies, procedures, and processes to improve business efficiencies and customer experience. Collaboration: Work closely with Divisional Directors and other key teams to manage property issues and achieve high customer satisfaction. Compliance Management: Ensure all statutory requirements and company policies are met through effective management and use of Fixflo. Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the Asset Management Team, fostering high performance and collaboration. On-Call Availability : Be prepared to cover on-call hours as required, ensuring that urgent property issues are addressed promptly. Qualifications and Experience Education: Degree level or equivalent, ideally with a professional qualification in a construction-related discipline (IFSM, IWFM, CIOB, or RICS). Experience: Extensive experience in property management, including fire and lifecycle compliance. Proven leadership in managing diverse teams and policy/strategy ownership. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the construction or property management industry, with recent experience in a senior position. Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong report writing, presentation, and crisis management skills. Excellent communication and engagement abilities.
