Tax Analyst Based: Virginia Water, UK 3-4 days in the office The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations. We are responsible for running the world-famous DP World Tour, Legends Tour, Challenge Tour and G4D Tour (golf for the disabled). We also organise, alongside the PGA of America, golf’s greatest team contest - the Ryder Cup. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Tax team. Reporting directly to the Tax Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our business operations across multiple global locations. The Role In this role, you’ll focus on direct tax, making it an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain valuable experience and broaden their skill set. Key Responsibilities You’ll work closely with external advisors to prepare and submit Corporation Tax returns both in the UK and overseas. You’ll assist the Tax Manager in monitoring the group’s overall tax position, ensuring compliance, and accurately forecasting tax payments for budgeting purposes. Additionally, you’ll help optimise claims and elections such as capital allowances and R&D and assist with SAO submissions and interactions with HMRC and other tax authorities. You’ll also be involved in implementing the group’s Transfer Pricing policy and preparing Transfer Pricing documentation and tax journals. Your responsibilities will extend to maintaining monthly Corporation Tax and Withholding Tax on revenue balance sheet reconciliations. You’ll identify opportunities for process improvements within our ERP and other systems, driving positive change in collaboration with the business systems team. On an ad hoc basis, you’ll support the Tax Manager in addressing tax queries from various parts of the business and external entities such as tax authorities. You’ll also assist with global tax projects, liaising with third-party advisors, and managing and monitoring the tax team budget. Knowledge, Skills and experience The ideal candidate will be studying towards an accounting/ tax qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CTA) or have a desire to do so. Experience working with wider finance functions is preferred, along with a basic understanding of Corporate Tax principles. Strong Excel and data analysis skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and challenge the status quo. You’ll need to be well-organised, commercially aware, and capable of supporting a complex environment with multiple deliverables.
