Job Description Castle Education is recruiting a ICT and computer science Teacher to teach across a range of secondary schools in the York and Malton area. We are looking for someone who is flexible and has a passion for helping students growth. Paying between £140-£160 per day Hours are negotiable. The key responsibilities for the role of Computer Science and ICT Teacher are :- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the agreed aims and policies of the school and the Faculty. Secure and sustain effective learning for all pupils through positive behaviour management and excellent classroom practice. Comply with the policy on Assessment, Recording and Reporting and provide regular feedback to pupils. Support the pastoral development of all pupils through being an effective Group Tutor and liaising with key staff. Take responsibility for Continuing Professional Development as part of the performance management process, thereby helping to build a Professional Learning Community. Support the Curriculum Leader and Associate Leader by contributing to effective teamwork. Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Headteacher. The successful candidate for the Computer Science and ICT teacher role will join a strong and growing faculty and we encourage both experienced teachers and ECTs to apply. The successful applicant will be :- Able to teach Computer Science and ICT to KS5 A Qualified Teacher with QTS and a good honours degree in a relevant subject Passionate and optimistic about working with young people Able to work well as part of a small department, within a larger faculty.
