Role Overview
As part of their ambitious growth plans, there is now an opportunity to join this exciting organisation in a newly created role. This key appointment aims to create frameworks/governance for all procurement-related activity to drive value and ensure acquired services are effectively delivered across the Group.
Main Responsibilities
1. Establish and implement a procurement framework and third-party governance process for effective sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation of goods and services necessary for the Group operations.
2. Organize and optimize sourcing initiatives to improve total cost and value creation of corporate services through effective supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, implementation, and post-implementation oversight.
3. Manage and review contractual arrangements and performance metrics at local, regional, and international levels as needed.
4. Analyze category spending, internal budgets, market conditions, and industry insight to formulate and execute a group-wide sourcing strategy aimed at leveraging scale and coverage.
5. Drive efficiency across business-wide spend, identifying areas for cost savings without negatively impacting service delivery.
6. Coordinate with departmental managers, senior management, general counsel, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective sourcing and negotiation efforts.
7. Work with strategic suppliers to ensure that commercial agreements deliver against industry best practices while adhering to local legal requirements.
8. Demonstrate measurable results in driving procurement value through sourcing efforts and contract negotiation/management.
9. Lead the Group's procurement activities in an enabling style, working with non-procurement colleagues to solve problems and find commercial solutions.
10. Embed a culture of commercially-led relationships with suppliers, acting as an Ambassador for effective procurement.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
1. Stellar experience in procurement/vendor management, with a proven track record of establishing procurement processes in organizations without formal procurement structures.
2. Experienced in contract negotiation, understanding the importance of service-driven commercial agreements in regulated environments.
3. Degree caliber individual, ideally allied with CIPS Level 5 or above, or equivalent professional qualification.
4. Professional, legal, financial, or technology services sector exposure would be of particular interest.
5. Pragmatic 'hands-on' individual comfortable joining at the start of this strategic procurement journey.
6. Proven negotiation skills and commercial aptitude.
7. High energy, resilient individual with a strong work ethic and result-oriented approach.
8. Ability to work in a multicultural environment and deal with ambiguity and change.
9. Diligent, analytical with excellent attention to detail.
10. Ambitious with a growth mindset to take on additional responsibility.
