Role Overview
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in domestic appliances (white goods) and supply chain operations, coupled with extensive familiarity with the processes of appliance delivery, installation, removal, and recycling. While direct hands-on experience in these areas is not essential, the candidate should demonstrate a deep understanding of these operations and their challenges. This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the end-to-end supply chain for domestic appliances, including procurement, delivery, installation, removal, and recycling.
2. Lead and support teams of field engineers and operations staff, ensuring high performance and operational excellence.
3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, logistics providers, and service partners to deliver cost-effective and high-quality operations.
4. Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability goals.
5. Troubleshoot operational challenges and work collaboratively with stakeholders, including facilities managers and logistics teams, to resolve issues swiftly.
6. Monitor and improve KPIs relating to cost, efficiency, and service quality.
7. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, integrating them into our operations.
Experience and Skills Required
1. 3–6 years of experience in domestic appliances or related industries, with a focus on supply chain, logistics, or procurement.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of appliance delivery, installation, removal, and recycling processes.
3. Demonstrated experience managing teams and collaborating with stakeholders across the supply chain.
4. Strong commercial awareness and proven negotiation skills.
5. Experience within operational residential sectors (e.g., Build-to-Rent, PBSA, Later Living, Co-living) is advantageous.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
