The haematology-oncology department is comprised of Gordon Smith Ward (12 beds), Ruth Myles Ward (12 beds) and Trevor Howell Ward (19 beds). There is a haematology day care unit attached to Ruth Myles Ward and an Oncology Day Unit attached to Trevor Howell Ward. We also have clinical nurse specialists associated with blood cancers, solid tumours and bleeding disorders as well as a research team conducting clinical trials.
We strive to deliver the highest quality of care to all patients, always putting the patients first.
You will need to be a registered nurse and ideally demonstrate previous Oncology/Haematology experience. Evidence of the administration of IV medications and chemotherapy is desired. Intravenous cannulation and venepuncture are also desirable; however, full training will be given.
