Objectives of this role are to provide office-based support for sales execution of Measurement product lines and to assist the sales team in achieving annual business targets.
Salary: £35,000 + Bonus of up to £6,000
Location: Luton, office-based
Responsibilities:
* Self-generate leads and opportunities for assigned products to enhance sales pipeline development.
* Qualify and nurture Measurement, Process, and ASC leads until they are ready for follow-up by sales engineers.
* Manage opportunities for specified products (e.g., accessories, low-value instruments), including qualification, quotation, follow-up, and order closing.
* Support customer demonstrations and application development at the Luton office as required.
* Build strong working relationships with sales, service, administration, marketing, and production teams to achieve personal and team success.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Record customer communication promptly using the company’s CRM system.
* Perform any other duties as reasonably expected or requested by the line manager.
Requirements:
* Minimum of a degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related discipline.
* Experience with laboratory instrumentation and strong application knowledge.
* Customer-facing experience is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all media.
* High energy levels and enthusiasm.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
* Proficient in computer literacy, including MS Office and CRM software.
* Possess a can-do attitude, self-motivation, team spirit, organizational skills, resilience, and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Aspiration to transition into a field sales role is a plus.
* Based in/near Luton, with occasional travel across the UK for events and customer visits, and training in Europe.
* Holds a UK driving license.
