Set in the beautiful county of Staffordshire, Tamworth is a vibrant town with rich heritage. Our transport links, unique shopping experience, green spaces, leisure offer, and heritage buildings make it a great place to live, work, study, and visit.
The Estate Cleaning Team is looking to appoint a cleaner to assist in maintaining the high standards on our estates, sheltered housing schemes, and corporate buildings.
Main Duties:
1. General cleaning of buildings on our estates.
2. Assisting in other areas of the service across all sites.
3. Helping at other sites during peak times to cover absence or annual leave.
Reporting to the Caretaking Supervisor, you will be working as part of the Assets cleaning team, ensuring that the estates are cleaned to a high standard and that a clean, attractive, and safe environment is always maintained. Some cleaning may be carried out in difficult conditions such as poor weather.
You will be required to comply with the Council's health and safety procedures. An understanding of COSHH regulations and basic cleaning procedures would be an advantage, but full training will be given.
The successful candidate must have the confidence to work on their own initiative and be capable of delivering the required standards throughout the borough.
We offer an extensive benefits package including flexible working, a non-contributory health scheme, Local Government pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, and discounted gym membership.
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, right to work in the UK check, medical clearance, and DBS check.
