Bilfinger UK are looking for candidates to join the business as a Control Panel Technician via an apprenticeship in Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Standard (MOET) through work placement and day release at Warrington Vale Royal College. Bilfinger UK are offering three-year apprenticeships in control panel wiring and all aspects of electrical switchgear manufacturing, leading to a Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard (MOET) Through hands-on training, attention to precision, and a commitment to safety and innovation, you will help deliver reliable, efficient, and sustainable electrical control, distribution and automation solutions. For this apprenticeship, you will undertake a weekly day's release into college where you will study towards your diploma. In addition, you will work with an apprentice trainer in the workplace, where you will learn the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to pass the programme and succeed at assessment. With the long term goal to support the business and operational requirements of modern integrated engineered production plant and services, Electrical Systems and Process Control Technicians and Electromechanical Technicians will need to apply a range of conventional skills and knowledge to undertake engineering activities on a selection of electromechanical and process control plant, systems and equipment These Technicians will undertake installation, testing, servicing, removal, replacement, maintenance and repair of a range of equipment, sometimes complex, as part of planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes. They may also undertake decommissioning activities when plant is being removed from service The key responsibilities of a wire person are not limited to: Provide hands on mechanical assembly and wiring of control panels and LV/MV Switchgear Complete wiring and install a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical components from mechanical and electrical drawings Report design or material non-conformances.
