As a key part of the Insurance team and supporting the Senior Vice President - Insurance, you will lead the placement and management of the Group’s casualty/liability insurances within a multi-national insurance programme that is aligned to Wood’s strategic priorities. You will lead the inhouse claims team to manage all claims under the insurance programme in order to maximise recoveries and will work closely with the Legal function and outside counsel, including on complex and high value claims to influence and align strategy. The role will support the business globally on all aspects of insurable risk including its identification and analysis across varying business activities, commercial contract and policy review in respect of tender process and will assist in promoting Wood in the insurance market as a risk conscious organisation. You will have significant influence and decision-making authority over insurance renewal process, negotiations, claims management and BU response to insurable risk. You will be a member of the Wood captive Insurance Committee contributing to the successful execution of underwriting and claims responsibility delegated to the Committee by the captive Board of Directors. Lead the inhouse claims team to manage all claims under the insurance programme to maximise recoveries Analysis and reporting of claims data to support insurance programme renewal as well as internal functional and operational business loss reviews and lessons learned Work closely with the Legal function and outside counsel, including on complex and high value claims to influence and align strategy to achieve optimal insurance recovery Provide advice to Wood businesses and functions including in respect of indemnity and insurance requirements of contracts including direct involvement in large and / or complex matters as appropriate Work closely with insurance brokers, other external providers to ensure delivery in line with service agreements including policy placement, issuance of insurance documentation / certification in compliance with contractual requirements, multi-national programme requirements, claims and other ad hoc support requirements as required Lead role in Insurance ‘Due Diligence’ process in connection with mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
