Hours: 8am-5pm (40 hours per week)
Location: Durham – We cover only the North East of England

The Role
The primary function of this position is to provide an efficient, professional, and comprehensive installation (including additions), service, maintenance, and commissioning service for a wide variety of Fire Alarm Systems in commercial and public sector properties.
Responsibilities
1. Attending customer sites according to scheduled appointments
2. Installation, additions, commissioning, servicing and maintenance, and training customers in the use of Fire Alarm in accordance with BAFE SP203, relevant British Standards, and other relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
3. Full completion of relevant job paperwork, BS Certificates, and engineer reports
4. Discussing and understanding customer requirements for system additions or recommendations
5. Liaising with Alarm receiving centres
6. Fully utilising company compliance management tools
7. Taking part in training sessions and toolbox talks
8. Wearing Company Branded PPE and uniform and maintaining a professional image at all times
9. Ensuring any vehicle or equipment used is kept in good condition, clean and tidy
10. Treating customers' premises with the utmost respect and ensuring work is left clean and tidy
11. Maintaining full Health & Safety requirements including a safe, tidy, clean and secure workplace
Attributes & Skills
1. Minimum 3 years experience
2. Strong working knowledge of Gent, Advanced Fire, and Kentec (further training, including Gent, will be provided for the right candidate)
3. Good communication skills
4. Enthusiasm and willingness to work out of normal hours if necessary
5. Full driving licence
6. Able to competently identify, fault find and repair all types of systems
7. Able to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure
8. Personable and able to work as part of a team or unsupervised where necessary
9. Keen to maintain extremely high standards of workmanship and a professional image at all times
10. Customer service focused
11. Knowledge of BS, EN, NSI, and BAFE standards
