JMC Aviation are working with an FBO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new CNC Setter (Nights) to join their team.
This client is well known for outstanding levels of service in their FBO facility. As a family run business with multiple decades of experience, they strive for excellence throughout their skilled workforce as they deal with in-house engineering and support services on business jets.
This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted, working nights 1900 to 0530 Monday -Wednesday and 1900 to 0430 Thursday

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to set-up and operate CNC machines ensuring all throughput meets quality and technical requirements and timelines.
Other duties involve:
- Where required, programme machines in line with technical information provided
- Set up the tooling required to produce parts
- Carry out first offs to ensure parts meet quality and technical requirements specified
- Run product batches to technical requirements
- Check dimensions prior to passing for Inspection
- Adhere to health and safety requirements
- Comply with quality and regulatory standards
- Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company
Skills and experience required:
In order to be successful in this role the CNC Setter will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in a CNC Operator role using 3/4/5 axis machines
- Experience of Multi pallet.
- Mazatrol and Heidenhain experience is required
- Previous Aerospace experience desirable
- Must be able to set/program and operate machines as required
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Ability to use measuring equipment (Vernier callipers, bore micrometres etc.)
- Capable of using equipment for loading heavy billets
