What will I be doing?
The role of Field Technician is to be fully autonomous in carrying out level 1 to 3 Maintenance activities on Safran Helicopter Engines. Working offsite at customers' premises to high Quality standards whilst achieving a high customer satisfaction.
• Achieve on time delivery of Engines at the customers premises
• Maintain a high consistency of quality standard output
• Produce accurate engine reporting and release documentation
• This role requires the Field Technician to be based in South Africa.
• Provide onsite support to Tanzania Peoples Defence Force (TPDF) as per the requirements of the Agreement between SHE UK and the TPDF.
• Provide on-site maintenance support, maintenance to TPDF or other customer as required.
• Prepare for the Maintenance activity to be performed at the customers' premises. Review the requirements as per the customer Purchase Order. Where applicable review the engine logbook data to identify additional work to be done or Service Bulletin to be applied. Open a work pack and prepare paperwork in advance according to quality standard.
• Prepare tools for shipment to the customer location where the maintenance task will be performed and liaise with the freight forwarder for collection. Prepare tools for return at the customer facility.
• When applicable, obtain travel security authorisation in line with SAFRAN risk countries prior to booking off-site travel abroad and make arrangement for travel as per the travel policy.
• On arrival at the customer premises carry out accurate assessment on the condition of the engine to confirm the workscope required to return the engine to a serviceable state, liaising with the Safran HE Technical Support Representative and Service Engine
