Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) Clinical Navigator
Full Time 37.5 hours per week.
Band 7 - £46,148 - £52,809+ NHS Agenda for Change Section 2
Are you an experienced and Registered Nurse or Paramedic looking for a different way to use your skills or are you looking for your first leadership role?
We are looking to recruit a CAS Clinical Navigator (CCN) within our IUC Contact Centre in Gillingham, Medway.
Responsibilities:
1. Act as a first line manager, providing advice, guidance, motivation, direction, and leadership.
2. Manage rotas, sickness, and welfare issues.
3. Fulfil the duties of a Clinical Advisor, including Call Audit, clinical decision support, performance management, and clinical quality and governance.
4. Provide clinical supervision for the NHS Pathways or Pathways Clinical Consultation Support (PaCCS) call triage system.
5. Maintain oversight of the Trust’s awaiting patients and manage IUC clinical resources for clinical safety assurance and risk mitigation.
Requirements:
1. Must be fully licensed and qualified or willing to commit to complete the full training and mentoring package for NHS Pathways or PaCCS.
2. Excellent communication skills adaptable to influence and support direct line reports.
3. Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Additional Information:
Please note, this is a 24/7 role and there is a requirement to work a variety of shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Unsocial hours are payable in addition to the salary quoted, dependent upon working pattern.
