We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Manager to join our team at Charter House, Watford. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all catering operations, including meal planning, preparation, and service for our beneficiaries.
You'll work to create nutritious, budget-friendly meals that cater to diverse dietary needs while fostering a positive, community-driven atmosphere.

Hours: You will be expected to work five days a week, including some weekends and bank holidays. Hours vary from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Role:
1. You will be responsible for the budget and ordering from nominated suppliers.
2. You will be responsible for conducting a monthly stocktake and providing a detailed report on the cost of feeding each resident, as well as tracking the use of disposables, broken down by individual resident.
3. The residents enjoy a diverse menu on a four-week rotation, which is regularly updated with input from the chefs. The menu at this site is consistent with those at other locations across the organisation, all following the same standards as Charter House.
4. Providing positive motivational leadership, mentoring and coaching to the staff team, ensuring clarity of direction and effective communication.
5. This is the largest hostel that One YMCA has that is fully catered, we supply breakfast and evening meal every day.
The Requirements:
1. Knowledge and experience of coordination and delivery of a catering service for 200+ covers daily, 365 days per year.
2. First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake training.
3. Hold health and safety and/or food hygiene accreditation or certificate (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate a track record of training and competence.
