Sherwood Forest Hospitals have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Wellbeing Support Worker to join the Tobacco Dependency Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our established, friendly and dynamic team.
Experience of previous work as a Tobacco Dependency Advisor is desirable but not essential as full induction and training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is patient care focused, non-judgmental, with initiative, time management skills and the ability to work safely within their scope of practice. Communication and interpersonal skills are also essential to this role, in order to support patients to make positive lifestyle changes.
The role requires the successful applicant to be flexible and adaptable with good organization skills. You will work closely with staff and patients in a multi-disciplinary team setting, supporting the provision of brief advice, Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), and onward referrals to community providers post-discharge.

Knowledge Requirements
* Good communication skills, including being able to talk to people individually or in a group
* Keen interest to improve the health and wellbeing for our patients, staff, and community

* Knowledge of NICE PH48 and MECC
* Knowledge of brief interventions
* Knowledge of goal setting

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience or training
