About the role
Connex Education is looking for an Alternative Provision Tutor to work within one of the cluster of provisions in multiple locations around the Nottinghamshire area.
About the school
The school provides an inclusive, holistic learning environment for vulnerable children who are struggling to attend mainstream school. The main purpose of the school is to support pupils and their families in gradually overcoming barriers to education and providing accessibility to learning. This school focuses on increasing opportunities for those who may have a turbulent educational journey that requires an individualised approach to educational intervention.
Assignment details
As a successful Alternative Provision Tutor, you will have direct experience with challenging behaviour, training for physical interventions, and experience working with complex needs. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support is essential, and it is desirable for you to be MAPPA and Team Teach trained. If you have worked with children or adults with complex needs, this is the role for you! We accept both qualified and unqualified teachers with experience working with vulnerable adults and/or children with a key interest in an Alternative provision setting.

Person Specification
* Experience supporting pupils with Special Needs in a school or similar setting.
* Strive for excellence and go the extra mile!
* Willingness to provide personal care.
* Confidence in working with challenging behaviour.
* Current DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one.
* Qualified Teacher Status (Desirable).
* Degree (Desirable).
* Relevant experience (essential).
