Job Title: Chef Pay: £18 per hour
Ongoing position
Hours: Flexible 9/10 hour shifts (Early 4:45am / Late till 8pm)
* 5 Days a week with occasional weekend work
* Travel expenses paid 1 hour to and from work
* Holidays, lunches and parking are provided
Location - Newcastle Upon Tyne
Main Duties include:
* Prepare and serve food to the required quality standard.
* Follow recipe formats to help control waste.
* Ensure portion control.
* Apply "Food Safe" & Hygienic working practices.
* Work in support of all team members.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
* Good knowledge of food and ingredients.
* Good trade skills, preparation and production of good quality food.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Communication skills.
* Team player.
* Minimum 3 years on the job experience
The advantages of this role over other hospitality roles are:
* Less stressed working environment than standard hospitality kitchens.
* Shift work however has less late nights, all days and early mornings.
* Need to work 5 from 7 days, and be prepared to work occasional overtime.
* Don't need to be culinary genius, just someone who can produce quality food
