Our Opportunity
You will be responsible for leading and coordinating high performance multi-discipline engineering teams through the full engineering design lifecycle. You will plan and prioritise engineering activities and resources in order to get projects to completion; meeting quality schedule and budgetary requirements. You will also develop the capability of engineers by coaching and sharing your knowledge in a continuous professional development environment. Additionally, you will manage risks and identify opportunities during the project lifecycle, ensuring that the project deliverables meet the customer's requirements and contract specification. Lastly, you will communicate effectively, professionally and in a timely manner with internal personnel, external customers, consultants and subcontractors.
About You
You will have experience in system design and development of complex hardware and software systems together with proven experience in working collaboratively across multiple product development and specialist domain teams. You will have working knowledge of Safety (SIL) and a track record of working and delivering on solutions for a defence programme, along with significant experience interfacing with internal and external customers, understanding system requirements in the defence domain. You will be highly customer-focused with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-moving environment with multiple parallel objectives. You will also have experience of working with technical requirements, statements of work, integration, verification and validation, acceptance criteria, and writing technical documentation (plans, specifications, statements of work, reports). Lastly, experience with managing/contributing to bids is essential.
