Role Title: Security Officer Aylesford
Position: Permanent Partner
Hours of Work: Full Time, 42 Hours
Please note: This role will work an average of 42 hours a week: 4 days on, 4 days off, and will cover night and day shifts.
Salary: The starting rate for this role is £11.75 Hourly
This role will attract a potential shift premium of 25% of base rate, this is an additional earning of £2.86, hourly

About the role
To ensure that the operational efficiency of the Aylesford site is secure, covering business loss due to theft and protecting Partners, customers and visitors. To adhere to all Health and Safety and Operational procedures and conduct themselves according to the Partnership's principles.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting security patrols to ensure doors are locked, and fire exits are clear.
2. Completing reports and documenting observations, incidents, and surveillance activities.
3. Controlling site access and egress using provided systems and monitoring live CCTV footage for suspicious activity.
4. Following site procedures, especially in emergencies, and providing a professional, welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors.
5. Conducting random personnel searches and gatehouse duties, including vehicle checks.
6. Enforcing site security policies and assisting with the prevention of theft, fraud, and other security breaches.
7. Reporting safety hazards or suspicious activity, and assisting with fire alarms, site evacuations, and testing.
8. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information, in line with data protection regulations.
9. Responding to fire and intruder alarms when necessary.
10. Compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations, ensuring mandatory training is up to date, and handling sensitive data professionally.
Essential skills you'll need:
1. Effective communication skills across a variety of stakeholders.
2. Staying professional under stress, de-escalating conflict, and being adaptable to changing work hours and patterns.
3. Keen observation, attention to detail, and maintaining integrity and professionalism, especially with confidential information.
4. An enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service and taking initiative in decision-making.
5. Reliability, excellent timekeeping, and the ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of computer-based CCTV, Access Control and fire systems- Crime prevention experience.
2. Proven investigation skills or held positions within the Police or Security Industry.
3. Current SIA licence holder.
