Your Role as an SEN Teacher: Support and teach students with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. Adapt and differentiate lesson materials to ensure accessibility for all students within a mainstream classroom. Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress. Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support students’ academic and personal development. Collaborate with parents, carers, and external specialists to create the best possible support network for students. Help implement and uphold the school’s inclusive teaching policies and ensure a positive, nurturing learning environment. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN teaching (within a mainstream or specialist setting). ✅ Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and effective classroom strategies for supporting students with additional needs. ✅ Experience working with secondary-age students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, or other learning difficulties. ✅ A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching and student support. ✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to inclusive education. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
