What the day will look like
Some of your key responsibilities will involve:
1. Insurer and underwriter meetings and relationship development
2. Technical advice to clients/branches/colleagues
3. Present terms to client/network
4. Review / build / improve submissions
5. Client relationship management (direct clients and/or network)
6. Client meetings
7. Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clients
8. Placement and administration of Global risks
9. Produce and/or deliver and/or assist on tenders
10. Support development goals and day to day functions of the UK Marine Team
How this opportunity is different
The UK Marine Broking team consists of 5 Placing Brokers, and we work alongside 5 Marine Client Managers. All have different strengths in placing all aspects of Marine Insurance, and they are looking for someone to enhance the whole team.
The business that we place is primarily UK based clients, including Global placements and Aon Belgium BV secondees for EU placements. There is a good level of support between the different members of the team and communication is strong.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
11. Technical knowledge of the Marine Insurance market
12. Experience of handling client relationships
13. Good understanding of insurance market dynamics
14. Experience using your skills to deliver client service
15. Effective communication and presentation skills
16. Excellent understanding & application of compliance and FCA regulation
