About The Role
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Purchase Ledger email inbox to ensure that invoices are processed in a timely manner.
2. Assist the Accounts Department in ensuring that period end close requirements are completed accurately and in accordance with the agreed close timelines.
3. Ensure that employee expenses are processed timely and accurately
4. Accurately process a high volume of invoices in line with department policies
5. Using high attention to detail you will be required to review and approve purchase invoices to ensure accuracy of the ledger
6. Processing one off / emergency payments to our suppliers in a timely and accurate manner.
7. Process the reconciliation of supplier statements
8. Production of bank statement reports for other team members
9. Able to liaise with suppliers and internal teams on payment and invoice queries
10. Ability to constructively challenge and improve systems where needed
Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this position, the Accounts Administrator will need:
11. Good understanding of accounts payable with ideally 1-2 years in a finance role.
12. Experience of working with accounting packages, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
13. Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package, especially excel.
14. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
15. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment as you will be balancing multiple workstreams, ensuring smooth efficiency and strong output is achieved.
16. Ability to be forward thinking whilst maintaining a methodical, attention to detail approach.
17. Compliant accurate record keeping is important to this role.
18. Strong planning, organising and prioritising workload skills are essential alongside the ability to work to deadlines.
