Wiltshire Council is leading a range of exciting projects that will make a positive difference to our natural environment and biodiversity. The strong ecology team has an excellent reputation for its competence and ability to provide innovative solutions to challenging issues and is at the forefront of new thinking. We are seeking a skilled Graduate Ecologist to build upon our ongoing work. You won’t be in this journey alone, as you will work with Ecologists and Senior Ecologists on development management work, forward planning, Biodiversity Net Gain projects and helping to deliver better environmental outcomes through our project delivery work. The role is predominately office based, with some site visits required to assess application sites and carry out monitoring of development sites. The role requires working with a wide range of stakeholders including planners, other specialists, developers, agents, consultants, statutory bodies, elected members and the public. We are looking for a candidate who is solution focused, comfortable with working independently, and able to communicate clearly and negotiate confidently.
