Main duties of the job
1. Receiving patients consulting with members of practice team.
2. Handling completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
3. Be able to cover all reception positions as necessary.
Appointments:
1. Process appointment requests for today and future appointments from patients by telephone and in person.
2. Deal with visit requests.
3. Process patient online access.
4. Care navigation of patients' requests.
Computer:
1. Registrations of new patients, computer data entry, and medical records.
2. Process patients' change of address, computer data, and medical records (have knowledge of practice area).
3. Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines.
Telephone:
Have working knowledge of telephone during and after hours.
Other Tasks:
1. Ensure building security; have thorough knowledge of.
2. Make tea/coffee for staff.
3. Any other tasks allocated by managers.
Working hours:
May vary, earliest start time is 7.30am, latest finish time 6pm.

We are a friendly GP practice with 10 doctors, 4 nurses, and a large admin and reception team, based in Kippax Leeds. We have 3 sites, one of which is a dispensing practice.

Person Specification
Flexibility
* Must be fully flexible and able to work extra to help cover holidays and absence as and when needed.
Experience
* Good Customer Service Skills.
* Good IT Skills.
* Good telephone skills.
* Good at working under pressure.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Experience of working in a GP practice preferable but not essential as full training will be given.
Qualifications
* Grade A-C in English and Maths.
