Location: This role is based in The Quadrant: MK. This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant: MK, you must live within 90 minutes (Band 1-4) of The Quadrant. Please note we have adopted hybrid working and you will be required to work in MK 2 days per week.
Band & Salary: 4B 35,582 - 40,830, depending on experience

Brief Description
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to appoint a hardworking individual who is looking to progress their project management career. You will have a chance to support the delivery of the projects through various stages of the life cycle; and assist in developing the processes required to aid in the delivery of the overall project portfolio managed by the team. This post will play a key role in the Track, Signalling and Asset Management team operating within Technical Authority's Central Projects Team. You'll get the opportunity to work with a wide range of partners (internal and external to Network Rail) and collaborate with engineers, data and subject matter experts who can help you understand the technical requirements of your projects and help you to drive delivery.

About the team:
This role is within the Central Projects Team within the Technical Authority. This team consists of programme and project managers that are focused on delivery and this is an integral part of the Technical Authority. The Central Projects Team deliver programmes and projects that discharge the Technical Authority's accountabilities.
What does the average day look like?
As Scheme Project Manager, you'll undertake a diverse range of tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
- Full ownership and delivery of business change projects.
- Delivery of projects in a safe, sustainable and environmentally responsible manner to time, cost, and quality.
- Extensive internal and external partner management to ensure that delivery is achieved and benefits are realised for your projects.
- Management of projects within corporate and industry governance, including handling changes and risk effectively.
- Full management of project budgets and forecasting.
- Provide a professional, consistent and effective project management service including the use of performance indicators and reporting tools.
Essential Criteria
- Successful relevant experience including project management.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Project safety management experience.
- Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Knowledge of commercial and financial procedures.
- Membership (or working towards membership) of the Association for Project Management or other professional body.
