Our client, a highly successful organisation based in High Wycombe, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team.
They're ideally looking for a qualified accountant who is able to demonstrate an understanding of how a commercial business operates and what drives project success.
The role is full time, office based, and comes with a competitive salary and good benefits.
Duties include
Monthly review meetings with key stakeholders to review and challenge variance analysis
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax
Liaise with advisors and external auditors when required
Seek improvements to the financial reporting system and processes
Coordinate and prepare finance material for Board meetings
Provide information to potential clients to secure new business
Ownership of the cost centre and any cross-charges, within 2 Companies
Production of Monthly Management Accounts and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Management of Purchase Ledger, overseeing Supplier Payments
Sales Ledger and Debtor management
Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly forecasting and budgeting
Month end processes and ensuring financial controls are in place
Sales and revenue analysis
Preparing cash flow forecasts
VAT Returns and bank reconciliations
Preparing monthly salary information for payroll processing
Preparing Year End Accounting files and liaising with external auditors
Ensure that finance input to the business is welcomed, trusted and respected as adding value whilst maintaining financial discipline, and confidentiality.
Skills/Experience
Qualified Accountant with good PQ experience (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
Experience in SAGE and IT literate
Demonstrable understanding of how a commercial business operates and what drives project success
Adaptable and flexible to work in an evolving organisation
Great communication skills
High level of initiative and self-motivation
Enjoy working with an amazing team
Ability to look at problems and suggest solutions
