Your role could involve:
1. Working with experienced teams to understand the Commercial Business
2. Documenting existing manual processes and designing digital solutions
3. Building automated processes using Blue Prism, RPA applications and Power Platforms
4. Assisting with larger projects using data driven solutions, API and AI technology
5. Completing end to end User Acceptance Testing
6. Providing business updates in a way non-technical experts can understand
7. Sharing the benefits and impact of automated solutions with the wider Zurich community, through business project calls, or posting internally
8. Occasional travel to London to support our underwriting teams and collaborate to best support our customers
What can I look forward to?
1. Completing the Digital Apprenticeship will open doors and great career opportunities within the UK Commercial Team and across the wider UK Business.
2. Learn how to understand and analyse customer requirements and then implement findings.
3. Build data analysis skills to identify risks and opportunities.
4. Develop collaboration and communication skills that help you share our insights with stakeholders in a way that suits different audiences.
5. Understand data, enabling you to make informed evidence-based decisions.
6. Use data visualisation tools to create infographics, reports, tables, dashboards and graphs and communicating data insights.
7. Understand how to collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
Alongside your day-to-day work activities, you’ll complete a Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship which will take around 18 months to complete. In addition to investing in your learning, we give you time to study as well as the opportunity to put what you learn into practice.
Your qualification is just the start of your career at Zurich. Once your apprenticeship is complete you will have plenty of opportunities to put your new skills into practice while continuing to develop and grow.

What you’ll need:
1. Full right to work and reside in the UK – Due to apprenticeship funding rules, you must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for the last three years and have the right to work in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK.
2. A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 including Maths and English.
3. A professional attitude with a positive ‘can do’ approach to your work.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to build strong working relationships.
6. Strong team player and excellent problem solver.
7. Self-starters who can use their own initiative.
NB: Due to Apprenticeship funding rules, we can only accept applicants who haven’t completed a qualification in the same field at the same or higher level to the course you are applying for.
