We're seeking a multifaceted and motivated Business Development Executive to join our outstanding team at Innovation Broking, part of Howden UK Brokers. As one of the leading insurance brokers in the market, Howden offers an outstanding opportunity for the type of people who make us who we are: ambitious, driven, and eager to make their mark in the world.
As a business development professional, you will be excellent at transforming relationships and are driven to enable growth through creative solutions. Plus, you'll get to collaborate with our underwriting and claims teams to provide outstanding customer service and really contribute to our force-for-good reputation in the industry.
Working across Thames Valley and East Anglia, you will be visiting clients’ sites, attending networking events and generating leads that are proactively managed. Flexibility to travel is a must.
What you'll do…
* Generate new business from prospecting and leads and follow these up to build a strong pipeline of potential clients passionate about the technology space.
* Gain deep understanding of client’s business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions.
The kind of skills we'll need…
* Proven prospecting and sales experience, and a track record of meeting targets.
* Experience of selling into mid corporate technology clients.
* Outstanding communication skills, including interpersonal skills to successfully engage clients from all walks of life.
* A customer-focused approach, with strong networking and influencing skills.
* Analytical know-how to analyse data and update databases accurately.
