About the Role
As Infrastructure Engineer, you will support, maintain, and enhance the CIOB on-premises and cloud infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, performance, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the optimal performance and stability of the enterprise infrastructure and all associated systems.
* Providing 3rd line support, ensuring excellent customer service through prompt handling of tickets.
* Ensuring planning, end-user impact, change management, and problem management are properly addressed.
* Maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of all systems through regular patching and configuration.
* Proactively developing systems to meet future demand and integrating new technology into solution design.
* Performing root cause analysis of 3rd line infrastructure incidents and implementing preventive measures.
* Utilising industry standards and best practices such as ITIL.
About You
The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and/or experience:
* Well-organised with the ability to work to targets and deadlines.
* Task-oriented and able to keep projects moving forward.
* Confident communicator with the ability to translate technical requirements.
* Excellent technical skills and a quick learner of new technologies.
* Experience supporting junior colleagues.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Experience working in a small team for an SME of ~185 users and ~20 servers.
