Our team of Necking Operators are responsible for providing an efficient necking production and breakdown service and responsible for the mechanical tasks associated with the necking machinery.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Set and run the necking machines and carry out fault finding on necking machines and correct as required.
2. Monitor and control usage, tool life, and requisition within Necking and carry out any Necking machine repair required by the Production Manager or Shift Manager.
3. Report any problems with necking machines likely to affect production, or machine defects likely to make the machine unsafe to work.
4. Re-make spares if not available during breakdown and keep all tooling available for operators.
5. Efficiently carry out the Planned Preventative Maintenance to company standards and assist with the continuous improvement of processes.
6. Encourage minimal waste and maintain a clean and tidy workplace.
7. Maintain accurate records according to Ball Aerosol requirements.
8. Develop, in conjunction with others, working methods and systems to continuously improve safety, product quality, efficiency, and waste.
9. Participate in and support the Management team and colleagues in Continuous Improvements projects.
The core hours for this role are on a rotating Shift Pattern as detailed below. The requirement is to work 4 weeks on days (6am - 6pm) and then four weeks on nights (6pm - 6am):
Week 1: Mon / Tues / Fri / Sat / Sun
Week 2: Wed / Thurs
