Job summary An exciting opportunity exists for an ambitious and motivated midwife to step up as manager of our Antenatal Clinic to cover maternity leave for a 12 month period. Main duties of the job The service is looking for an experienced midwife to manage our busy Antenatal Clinic department. Reporting to the Community/ Out Patient Matron and Head of Midwifery you will be working alongside a group of impressive clinical midwifery matrons and managers across both of our acute sites. The post holder will be responsible for management of Antenatal Clinic, including the support of specialist midwifery posts relating to the management area. You will be responsible for supporting the team in the achievement of excellent, safe, and efficient care. Your influence will have a positive impact on the quality-of-care provision within the maternity service. The post holder will provide innovative professional leadership, advice and guidance to midwifery staff in their area of responsibility, ensuring the professional contributions of midwives is maximised in order to achieve the Trusts business and strategic goals whilst ensuring professional standards are maintained.
