About the Role
Southend Medical Practice are looking to recruit an experienced advanced nurse practitioner to support the clinical team in delivering outstanding patient care. This is a part time role working 0830-1830 on Thursdays and Fridays each week.
As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
1. Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base.
2. Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients' conditions, initiating direct referrals as appropriate.
3. As an independent prescriber: prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative framework.

About the Candidate
To be considered for this position, you will require the following qualifications, experience and skills:
1. Be a registered general practice nurse (currently registered with the NMC).
2. Hold a recognised ANP qualification at masters level.
3. Able to work as an Independent Nurse Prescriber.
4. Able to work with a high degree of autonomy and be confident in leading in a variety of settings.
5. Forward thinking and strive to develop innovative ideas and new ways of working that address the health needs of the practice, whilst motivating and encouraging others to do the same.
6. Be an excellent communicator and collaborator; you will embrace opportunities to work and liaise across multi-professional and agency boundaries in the interests of improving patient outcomes.
In addition to your highly developed clinical skills, your approach in the role will be consistently compassionate and respectful, placing a high value on the dignity of patients, relatives, carers, and colleagues.
